Marija Pavkov, PhD

Director, has been active in the field of education for more than 20 years as a consultant, trainer and researcher. She gained an interdisciplinary approach and professional experience at the University of Zagreb and the University of Graz, where she taught students in the field of natural sciences by working as a university assistant and conducting scientific research. Curiosity for further learning and understanding of the world and the people who live in it, more precisely how they learn, adopt, memorize and process information, led Marija to train for the Tony Buzan licenced trainer (Mind Mapping, Speed ​​Reading, Memory Techniques) and then to another doctorate in the field of social sciences, more precisely in the field of education (with a on adult education and school pedagogy). Marija continues advocating for lifelong learning by gaining broader understanding of the human being and planet Earth through education for yoga teacher (TT200 and TT500). Marija is also a guest lecturer and expert associate for education, teaching methodology and the science of yoga at Yoga Teacher Training programme organised by Dharma Yoga Center and Zagreb Yoga School. For more than 10 years Marija has been working as an expert in the field of education, vocational education, adult education, education in the field of natural sciences, development of skills and competencies, for different institutions of the European Commission. Marija frequently attends and follows the work of international conferences such as the World Science Forum. Marija is also the Secretary General at the Institute for World Problems- for Europe, a civil society organization.
